Applications for membership are available and will be reviewed at our regular Board meetings.
We have two different types of membership:
Our Voting Members
• Must be 18 years of age
• Any Aboriginal person who was removed, fostered, adopted and/or institutionalised as a result of past removal policies, practices and/or legislation across South Australia, and who permanently reside in South Australia.
• Any person who is a descendant of Aboriginal persons who were removed, fostered, adopted and/or institutionalised as a result of past removal policies, practices and/or legislation across South Australia, and who permanently reside in South Australia.
Non Voting Members
• Must be 18 years of age
• A person, Aboriginal or non-Aboriginal who can support the objectives of our corporation
• An organisation/agency/service provider that can support our corporation’s objectives
The South Australian Stolen Generations Aboriginal Corporation (SASGAC) ensures that Stolen Generations survivors have a voice in government policy and decision making.
